Royal Bamboo and "24"
I have started knitting a summer shell with Royal Bamboo from Plymouth yarns. My husband kept saying "get out, this can't be bamboo." It's so soft and wonderful to work with. Before discovering this yarn, I couldn't understand why anyone would want to knit with bamboo. To be honest, many of the bamboo yarns felt stiff. Although I knew the yarn would soften up I worked with it, I like to enjoy what I'm knitting with. I don't enjoy knitting with stiff yarns.
Royal Bamboo feels like knitting with silk. It holds the color like silk. It wicks away moisture like silk. It is silky in every way but the price. It is much less expensive.
I learned two valuable lessons last night. 1. Do not try to knit a lace pattern while watching the tv series "24." 2. It is really hard to correct a mistake 10 rows below in a lace pattern.
