Koigu yarn inspiration

One of my son's college friends received a watch that had ribbons for the band. I immediately invisioned a knitted watchband. First attempt was too wide and bulky. Second attempt was crocheting Koigu. Success!
I have knitted with Koigu yarn before, but I haven't tried to crochet it. It actually works up very well, because the crochet stitches (I used a double crochet stitch) really opened up the yarn to show it's wonderful coloration. I hear a crocheted scarf calling my name.....

What a great use of Koigu! Watchband! What an upgrade from all those embroidery thread bracelets!
