beginner classes!

With our fall classes back in session, we have something for everyone. I have mentioned a few of our project classes, but not everyone is ready to dive into mitered squares or mittens.

Fortunately we have many sessions planned for the new knitter or crocheter! Take a beginning knitting or crochet class at the store this fall, and you can be working on your first sweater by the spring!

We have lots of sessions to fit your scheduling needs!

Beginning Knitting
  1. Tuesday, October 16 and 23 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
  2. Saturday, October 27 and November 3 from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
  3. Monday, November 5 and 12 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
  4. Wednesday, November 28 and December 5 from 10:00AM - 12:00 PM
  5. Saturday December 1 and 8 from 11:30AM-1:30PM
  6. Tuesday, December 11 and 18 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
In this class, you will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decease, and bind off.

Beginning Crochet
  1. Saturday November 10 and 17 from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
In this class you will learn the basics of crochet: chaining, single crochet, double crochet, increases, and decreases.

If you are not an absolute beginning knitter, but you aren't ready to tackle a big project, we have two more great classes to get you ready!

Refresher Knitting
  1. Wednesday, November 14 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
This class is for you if you used to knit and now need to brush away the cobwebs. It is also good for newer knitters who need to be refreshed on a specific topic (purling, increases/decrease, bind off or cast on).

Fixing Mistakes
  1. Wednesday, October 17 from 6:30 PM - 8:30PM
  2. Saturday December 15 from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Do you have all the basics figured out, but you are frustrated that you still have imperfections in your work? We can show you how to recognize your mistakes and correct them without having to start over. Fix twisted stitches, dropped stitches, yarn overs, and other minor problems to give your knitting a more professional finished appearance.
