last week's arrivals

log cabin blanketMy deep apologies for a short blogging hiatus. The blogger (that would be me) was out of town and didn't get a lot other than the essentials completed before leaving. I'm back now, and so are updates.

Let's start with a run down of everything that we restocked last week.

Orders from Addi, Crystal Palace, and Brittany arrived. We now have a good supply of all of our needles--straights, circulars, and double points.

Berroco Pure Merino colors are back in stock. Our pastels and shades of green were severely depleted, and now they are back. Want to try the Mason Dixon Log Cabin blanket pictured above? it looks fantastic in many combinations of Pure Merino and would make a great baby gift.

After quickly selling out the color sample pack, we have decided to stock Skacel's Sockina cotton sock yarn in all the available colors. This cotton/acrylic/nylon blend is super soft and it is one of very few sock yarns that contain absolutely no wool.

Think acrylic is a bad idea of socks or makes them "lower" quality? Check out this article from Knitty.com on customizing socks for diabetics' feet and get to be better friends with acrylic.

The finished blanket looks great! I may have to give it a try.
